Discussion boards have been one of the most popular ways to exchange opinions on serious topics, to seek for the answer you need in a community, and to help others by giving your answers for what you are knowledgeable in. However, it could be tiring to go through a long thread which you are involved in after a long day at work. To spice things up, Chinswing offers a platform for audio-based discussions, allowing users to spit out their thoughts with their own voice instead of a chain of letters.
Thread viewers can choose to play the audio conversations from the starting through the end, or they can just start playing the recording from a particular post in the thread.
It's a shame that Chinswing only fully supports Windows users, requiring Windows 2000, XP or Vista for users to install and run their recording software called Chinswing Studio, which is the only way to post comments. I hope to see Chinswing offering Flash-based recorder to support users on all platforms, or developing Chinswing Studio for other platforms such as Mac OS and Linux. As for now, those who aren't using supported Windows OS could only listen to the conversations and keep their desire in voicing out down.
